    Tailored Course: Kayak 3 Star Award (September 5)

    Application Deadline: August 27 The Star Award Scheme is a 3-day training course for novices to complete basic canoe training. The “Three Star Award” is a 1-day training class that builds on the skills learnt in the “Two Star Award”. Please note that the price does not include an HK Canoe Union logbook or a certificate if applicable. Courses will only run when there is a minimum of 6 participants, otherwise the course will be cancelled and the course fee will be refunded. In the event of activity cancellation by HKSSA (e.g. COVID-19 government-mandated closures), participants are entitled to a full refund. However, if participants withdraw due to individual reasons (e.g. participant does not fulfil the lowest entry requirements), except for sick leaves with a medical certificate from a doctor, no refund will be offered.     Application Deadline: Sept 30th The junior canoe training scheme aims to provide fundamental canoeing training for aged 8-11 and prepare them to promote to Racing Kayak and Canoe Polo discipline. The Sea Lion Award is a 1-day course that builds on the skills developed in the Seal Award. Please note that the price does not include an HK Canoe Union logbook or a certificate if applicable.     Tailored Course: Sailing Basics – Level 1 & 2 (August 16, 23, 24, 30, 31)

    By the end of the course, the successful sailor will be safety conscious, have a basic knowledge of sailing and be capable of sailing a dinghy without an instructor on board in light winds. The majority of conventional beginners' courses cover Level 1 and Level 2 and are normally not less than 35 hours.
